Stars began to celebrate Halloween as early as Saturday, posting their best dress options on social media. From superheroes to A Star Is Born, seemingly no costume was lacking inspiration. Here are some of the best, as documented on Instagram.

Halsey

Pop star Halsey hosted her own Halloween bash on Saturday with a Gotham City theme. She matched the theme dressed as Poison Ivy and was one of the first celebrities to debut their Halloween getup on Instagram this year.

David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris

Harris and Burtka are some of the most-watched celebrities on Halloween due to their annual family photo. In the past, the couple and children Harper and Gideon have dressed as everything from superheroes to circus performers. This year, they opted for scary as the family posed as hitchhiking ghosts in a graveyard.

Beyoncé

The superstar chose to embody another of her kind, Toni Braxton. Beyonce called herself "Phoni Braxton" as she recreated Braxton's iconic album cover on her Instagram account.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas

Jonas took Halloween to a new level by dressing as his fiancée, Sophie Turner, in her iconic Game of Thrones role, Sansa Stark. Complete with a red-haired wig, Jonas embraced the character. Turner accompanied him in a full-body elephant suit.

Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams

Hyland and Adams took advertising to a new level in their Halloween costumes. Hyland wore a taco costume, layered with a taco bell sauce getup, and Adams personified Belle from Beauty and the Beast. He sported the Disney princesses iconic yellow ball gown and a matching brunette wig.

Kylie Jenner and Stormi Webster

In her first year of motherhood, Jenner chose to match her daughter, Stormi, in pink butterfly costumes. She posted a variety of photos on social media in the costumes.

Lauren Conrad and Liam Tell

Former The Hills cast member Conrad dressed as Melanie Daniels of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, complete with her son, Tell, dressed as a blackbird. The polished getup was an ode to the classic film and an unlikely two-person costume.

Jenni "JWoww" Farley

This Jersey Shore star dressed up with her whole family, including husband Roger Mathews, who she is divorcing. The family took inspiration from Disney film Moana and dressed in the Hawaiian spirit.

Lisa Rinna

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star dressed as her reality show co-star Erika Jayne for Halloween and posted the photos on her Instagram account. Fans commented on the photo detailing their support for the outfit and the comedy it brought.

Rita Ora

The singer dressed as fellow musician Post Malone, complete with tattoos and a matching hairstyle. She also sported Bud Light apparel and bottles, an ode to the rapper's sponsorship by the beer company.

Gabrielle Union

The actress dressed as Gwen Stefani for Halloween. She shared a video of herself impersonating Stefani with a No Doubt track playing. Stefani shared the video on her own Instagram account.

Kendall Jenner

Jenner dressed as Fembot from Austin Powers and captioned the photo with a movie quote. "Should we shag now or shag later baby?" the caption read. Jenner posed alongside friend Fai Khadra who dressed as Austin Powers.

Nina Dobrev

The actor dressed as the "Oscar campaign" for the film A Star Is Born. The film, which stars Lady Gaga and Bradly Cooper, is eligible to be nominated for an Oscar.
