Salone del Mobile, also known as the Milan Furniture Fair, now in its 55th year, is widely considered the best place to see emerging trends in furniture, lighting and interior design.

This year was no exception to the rule. Among the notable trends on display, we saw metal everywhere, a return to traditional production methods and the use of the unexpectedly tactile (think fur on lighting designs).
