Shayanna Jenkins, the woman who was engaged to former NFL star Aaron Hernandez, took to Instagram Tuesday to reveal she was pregnant. Jenkins did not reveal who the father of her child was but TMZ noted hypothetically Hernandez could have frozen his sperm for Jenkins. Hernandez hanged himself April 9, 2017, five days after he was acquitted of double murder charges related to the 2012 deaths of two men outside a Boston club.

"Many of you have had speculated that I may be expecting another miracle which is very accurate, I wanted to take time and process and post when I was ready to," she wrote. "I wanted to have a moment for myself alone with my daughter …we are beyond excited about the new addition and chapter we will soon begin."

"I couldn't be a luckier woman to have such a perfect little girl that's prepared to become the best big sister, and even more blessed to welcome another baby girl to our home," she wrote about Avielle, the daughter she shared with Hernandez. "BabyG we are very excited to meet you!!! Mommy and sissy will continue to wait patiently for your arrival. I thank everyone for the continued support and appreciate the respect for our privacy."

In his suicide note, which was released May 5, 2017, Hernandez hinted there was something waiting for Jenkins in her future. "You have always been my soul-mate and I want you to live life and know I'm always with you," he started the note.

"I told you what was coming indirectly!" he wrote. "I love you so much and know you are an angel — eternally! We split into two to come change the world!" He also added the phrase "you're rich" to Jenkins.

Even though Hernandez was acquitted of the 2012 murder charges, he was still serving life in prison for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd. A judge ultimately overturned the former New England Patriots star's murder conviction following his suicide.

"This court cannot know why Hernandez chose to end his life," Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh said in May 2017, according to Reuters. "There being no reason to recognize any exception in this case in the interest of justice the court has no choice" except to remove Hernandez's conviction.
