Adele has sent fans into a frenzy after sparking theories she has married sports agent Rich Paul. Her eagle-eyed fans spotted a clue during the mega-star's Emmy win celebration.
Adele, 34, picked up an array of awards at the Creative Arts Emmys 2022 for her One Night Only special concert on CBS.
After the ceremony, she took to her social media to celebrate the win, including posing with one of Emmy awards in a make-up free selfie.
The third photo in the post showed the Emmy resting on some books atop a coffee table in the Los Angeles home she shares with Paul.
Adele captioned the post: "Bloody hell I'm pleased as punch! Thank you @mrbenwinston for dropping this round to me this afternoon!!
"Trust me to officially have an EGO 🤣 Thank you so much @televisionacad , I'm so so honored to receive this. Big up to everyone involved. @griffithobservatory thank you for letting me sing up on your mountain and big love to all the other nominees x"
But it was one feature on the coffee table that caught people's eye.
It was a rectangle box with a blue lid and the title "The Paul's" emblazoned across the top.
The clear box seemed to feature some customized tiles with photos on them, with fans speculating they were tiles for a game such as Rummikub, Mahjong or Dominoes.
Others mused it was a personalized wedding memento, despite the use of the possessive apostrophe to indicate the box belonged to the Paul family.
"The Paul's" 👀👀 is you married?! 😂" asked one fan.
Another explained what all the fuss was about: "Her boyfriend's name is Rich Paul. 'The Paul's' may suggest they're already married. At the very least, the perception of marital union."
A third added: "I can't tell if I am more excited about it or upset at the bad punctuation."
While another person gave eager fans a grammar lesson: "Wouldn't be Paul's if they were married, it would be Pauls."
Adele and Rich went Instagram official last year after reportedly dating for a few months and moved in together earlier this year.
Paul is a famed sports agent whose company Klutch Sports Group represents a number of prominent NBA and NFL players.
His success has helped Klutch grow into one of the biggest companies in its industry. In 2020 Forbes listed it as the thirteenth biggest sports management company in the world with commissions totaling $58.1 million and their contracts raking in a combined $1.7 billion.
Adele's previous relationships include with ex-husband Simon Konecki whom she met in 2011 and married in 2016.
Their son Angelo James was born on October 19, 2012 but in April 2019, Adele's publicist released a statement confirming their separation saying they were still "committed to raising their son together lovingly."
Since then, Adele was rumored to have dated British grime artist Skepta in 2019. Prior to this Adele had sang about exs on her albums 18 and 21, but they seem to predate her fame and have remained anonymous.
Adele's recent Emmy win for her concert special brings her one step closer to a coveted EGOT — the term used for a person who has won an Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar and Tony Award.
She was not the only one to edge closer to an EGOT as she joined Eminem, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in winning their first Emmy, making each artist a Tony away from the hallowed status.
Adele's special aired on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ on November 14, 2021.
She performed some of her biggest hits and three unheard songs from her as-yet released fourth studio album, 30 at the Griffith Observatory.
The evening was hosted by Oprah Winfrey, whose interview with Adele was played in short segments throughout the concert.
The one-off show attracted an A-list Hollywood audience including James Corden, Drake, Melissa McCarthy, Lizzo, Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio.
One Night Only won five Creative Arts Emmys from five nominations, including directing for a variety special, lighting design/direction, sound mixing, technical direction and outstanding variety special (pre-recorded).
