The Amazing Race has only just begun, but twists are already being thrown at this season's teams. The second leg, which will premiere Wednesday night, will hold a double U-turn to throw a wrench in some team's strategies, according to Gold Derby.

The double U-turn could force two teams to complete both options in the detour during week two. According to the spoilers, this detour will take place in Laos. The two detour options include cooking and learning the Laotian alphabet. The different tasks typically provide a team with options, one physically based, in this case cooking, and one mentally challenging. Teams who are able to pick just one detour and continue on their race may find comfort in choosing the detour that appeals to their own strengths. The two potential U-turned teams, however, will not only need to complete two difficult tasks, but may find themselves racing the clock to place.

Previews of the challenges were shared by contestants on social media. Eliza Orlins, who is a teammate to Corrine Kaplan, shared an episode preview on her Twitter account Tuesday. The competitor also shared the article from Gold Derby, which seemingly confirmed the second episode spoilers. The Amazing Race also announced the double U-turn in a comment on an episode teaser, published April 18 on YouTube.

Contestant Rachel Reilly also shared a photo of this week's adventure, which showed her and teammate, sister Elissa Slater, taking on the cooking challenge. They were not the only teams that choose to do the cooking detour: it drew far more contestants than the language challenge, according to Gold Derby and released photos from the CBS episode.

Only Kaplan and Orlins and Rupert and Laura Boneham are known to have participated in the alphabet challenge. Two other teams could be seen completing the detour, though, because of the U-turn.

That means along with Reilly and Slater, Colin Guinn and Christie Woods, Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo, Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce, Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran and Janelle Pierzina and Brittney Haynes competed in the cooking challenge. According to photos published from the series, the cooking will include chicken, fish and lobster.

On last week's premiere episode, Art Velez and J.J. Carrell were eliminated. So far, they've been the only team to leave the show. The second leg begins with an equalizer, or show-wide meeting, to start all contestants at the same point on their new leg.
