Amber Alert Canceled: Missing Rochester Girl Joanna Coates Found

An Amber Alert previously issued for a missing girl from Rochester, New York, was canceled on Tuesday, New York State Police confirmed. The Amber Alert for Joanna Coates was sent out on Monday evening.

In the initial alert, authorities said the 14-year-old was abducted by Robert Gonzalez on LaSalle Street in Rochester. Authorities said the girl could be in imminent danger. She was last seen on Saturday, according to WABC.

New York State Police said on Tuesday that Joanna was "recovered safely," but did not provide any further information. It was not immediately clear how police found her or whether Gonzalez was with her.

Joanna's mother, Linda Hollaert, told the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle her daughter was found in New York City and was at a hospital there.

"She's safe and shes headed to the hospital," Hollaert said, according to the newspaper. "I'm relieved. I just want to see my baby girl."

Hollaert, previously told WHEC-TV she thought her daughter was taken from right outside their home in upstate New York. She claimed that the 41-year-old lived nearby.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
