Is Amber Portwood Quitting 'Teen Mom OG?' Says 'I Can't Do This Anymore' on Twitter

Amber Portwood is ready to throw in the reality TV towel. The mother of two shared thoughts on Twitter about leaving Teen Mom OG, which she has appeared on since its inception in 2015.

Her announcement came following Monday night's episode of Teen Mom OG, during which she revealed she had a miscarriage during her relationship with ex-fiancé Mat Baier, The couple broke up in 2017. "I can't do this anymore," she wrote. "I have to quit this show."

On the episode, Portwood shared her experience with Kristina Anderson after Anderson opened up about her recent pregnancy loss. Anderson is the wife of Gary Shirley, Portwood's ex and father of 9-year-old daughter Leah Shirley. As an act of support, Portwood revealed previously suffering from an ectopic pregnancy, which causes fertilized eggs to grow outside of the uterus.

Portwood received backlash from fans for making the situation all about her instead of simply being there for Anderson. The 28-year-old responded and said she didn't have any hostile intentions for sharing her heartbreaking experience with Anderson, nor was she trying to steal the spotlight.

"All I wanted was for @krissyK01 is [for] her not to feel alone and when she bravely said it on camera that really gave me strength to speak to her and let her know I understand and I am here for her. She was heartbroken. I could see it in her eyes," Portwood wrote.

After undergoing an ultrasound and hearing the baby's heartbeat, Anderson, whose fallopian tubes were tied at the time, said doctors were unable to save her child. "They told me there was nothing they could do," she said.

Although Portwood's tubes hadn't been tied at the time of her miscarriage, she assured Anderson that she knows "how that feels" to lose a child. She said her experience caused her to spiral into a depression.

Six months ago, Portwood welcomed her third child, James Glennon, with boyfriend Andrew Glennon. Anderson shares 3-year-old daughter Emilee Shirley with Gary Shirley.
