Anything can happen on Hallow's Eve, and on the upcoming episode of American Horror Story: Apocalypse, residents in Outpost 3 will get a first hand taste of all the terror that can take place below the chaos awaiting above ground.
The latest sneak peek video for Wednesday's episode teased the first Halloween the guests will endure after the several bombings that resulted in the ending of the world. Based on the strange and deadly chain of events that have happened so far on Season 8, the odds of more horror occurring in the underground bunker on hallows eve are incredibly high. There's even a possibility some residents living in Ms. Wilhemina Venable's compound won't make it out alive.
"Tonight is all hallows eve," the character, played by Sarah Paulson, says in the trailer. "Everyone shall savor this night as if it were their last."
Meanwhile, Cooperative Michael Langdon (Cody Fern) warns the guests that the new world he's creating won't abide by the same set of commandments as the last. "The old world lived set of rules: Thou shall not kill. Thou shall love thy neighbor," he says as the clip flashes with images of snakes and violence.
Although show creator Ryan Murphy had fans thinking a major character death was on the horizon when he posted a photo of the cast dressed in all black last week—which some fans believed to be staged as a funeral procession—it's unclear if hallows eve will bring a fatal doom to of any of the residents living under Michael and Ms. Venable's new world rules on episode 3.
If details of the newest season of Murphy's FX creation seem slim, that's intentional. The cast and crew are continuing to remain tight-lipped on the happenings of Season 8 as it continues to air. "I cannot say anything, only Ryan can do that at this point," Leslie Grossman, who plays Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt, told TVLine during an interview released Sunday.
Noting that she was "just as surprised as anyone" by Murphy's seemingly funeral-scene photo, Grossman suggested the cast snapshot may have been posted due to the showrunner's pure excitement for the series. "Like, the picture was too great," she said.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse episode 3 airs at 10 p.m. ET Wednesday on FX.
