Who Are the 'American Idol' Top 11 Contestants? Season 20 Acts Revealed

The competition on American Idol is seriously heating up, with just 11 acts still fighting for the title.

On Sunday night's show (April 24), three talented hopefuls were eliminated from the competition after numerous rounds, including a grueling Hollywood week and dazzling performances at Disney's Aulani Resort.

So, who is in the American Idol Top 11? Newsweek has everything you need to know.

Who Made the American Idol Top 11?

American Idol is at a crucial point in the competition. There are just six rounds left before the "Grand Finale," where one talented singer will be crowned America's next Idol.

But first, the hopefuls competing in the competition had to be whittled down from 14 acts to 11. Soon 11 will become seven, then five, then the top 3 in the finale.

In a switch-up in the most recent instalment of the reality competition series, instead of performing after finding out they had secured a spot in the Top 11, all 14 acts sang for the public vote first, then again at the end of the show after they had learned of their fate.

The pressure was on for contestants Jay, Mike Parker, Tristen Gressett and Allegra Miles, who found themselves in the danger zone last week. After facing tough competition, they were saved by the judges Katy Perry, Lionel Ritchie and Luke Bryan and granted a spot in the Top 14.

Thankfully for Jay, luck, and America, were on his side and he sailed through to the Top 11 with his performance of "Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars.

Also safe for another week is certified rock star Tristen Gressett. In the Top 14 rounds, he was the last act to be saved by the judges, so Gressett had a pretty big weight on his shoulders to prove he was worth saving.

Thankfully, the pressure paid off and he secured a spot in the Top 11 with his cover of Adam Lambert's "Whataya Want from Me," despite messing up some of the lyrics.

Mike Parker successfully won over America's votes with his performance of Luke Combs' "Hurricane," a triumph for the 27-year-old after narrowly surviving the danger zone last week.

Platinum ticket holder Huntergirl breezed by the competition and into the Top 11 with her performance of Sugarland's "Baby Girl." Country star and Idol judge Luke Bryan, who has been a big fan of Huntergirl since the beginning, described her performance as her "best moment yet."

Emyrson Flora, the youngest singer in the competition at just 16, gave a spell-binding rendition of Olivia Rodrigo's hit "Driver's License," solidifying her place in the competition and Noah Thompson was able to win over America and slide into the Top 11 after making a drastic last-minute song choice from Chris Stapleton's "Nobody to Blame" to Ben E. King's "Stand By Me."

Sadly, three acts were sent home from American Idol after almost two months of competing. First to go was Dan Marshall, whose performance of Kenney Chesney's "She's Got It All" was sadly, not enough.

Allegra Miles, one of judge Katy Perry's favorite acts, didn't do enough to win over America's votes as she fought for a spot. Her performance of Billie Eilish's "Ocean Eyes" was, unfortunately, her last on the show.

Taking to Instagram after her elimination Miles gave a big thanks to her fans, adding "the love you have shown me is indescribable and i am so beyond grateful. getting to sing my original music on national tv, and you guys telling me how you connected and it made you feel less alone — that is why i make music."

The third and final act who narrowly missed out on a spot in the American Idol Top 11 was Ava Maybee. Unfortunately, her performance of the Harry Styles hit "Sign of the Times" wasn't enough to secure her a place.

Writing on Instagram after her elimination, Maybee described her Idol journey as one of the "craziest" experiences of her life.

She penned: "This has been one of the craziest experiences of my life. I've learned so much on this show. Thank you all for voting and supporting me and I hope you stick around because the future is lookin bright!!!! This top 11 is so incredible I'm so proud of them thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!"
