American Music Awards 2017: How to Live-Stream the Awards Show

Some of the music industry's biggest artists will flood the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday for the 45th annual American Music Awards.

The star-studded event will see top performers like Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Ed Sheeran take the stage as they battle it out for the highest honors of the night—they're all nominated for the Artist of the Year award. Mars scored a total of eight nominations this year, while Lamar, Drake and Sheeran all racked up five nods. Other artists who pulled in multiple AMA nominations include Rihanna, The Chain Smokers and Lady Gaga.

Of course, there will be some newbies in the house contending for awards, too, including New Artist of the Year nominees Rae Sremmurd, Niall Horan, Julia Michaels, Post Malone and James Arthur.

Hosted by Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross, the 2017 AMAs will be a family affair. Ellis Ross's mother, legendary singer and defining diva Diana Ross, will take home the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Ross is also slated to perform during the event.

"She is a bit of an international treasure in my opinion," Ellis Ross recently told People of her mother. "I'm excited that a younger generation gets to witness that, even just through the television screen. I also think it's a really extraordinary thing to honor somebody who's had such an everlasting career, whose music has touched lives in such a poignant and special way. Music reaches into your heart, and my mom's voice has been part of people's lives for a long time."

Another musical treasure expected to be honored at the AMAs is singer Whitney Houston. The Voice judge Christina Aguilera will belt out Houston classics from her chart-topping album (and box office hit) The Bodyguard, in honor of the film and soundtrack's 25th anniversary, which falls on November 25.

Selena Gomez, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Shawn Mendes and Gaga are also expected to perform at the show.

The live awards show will kick off on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. But the network will stream a two-hour pre-show under the @AMAs Twitter handle, featuring behind-the-scenes looks and a red carpet roll out, starting at 6 p.m. ET. The E! network will also air a live stream of their red carpet coverage on the E! website and app.

Viewers who don't have access to cable can also live-stream the actual awards show on ABC's website and app, while those who use Hulu's streaming service can tune into the show there.
