Anna Faris revealed that she recently eloped after letting it slip that she was newly remarried on her podcast.
The House Bunny star shared that she and her fiance, now husband, Michael Barrett tied the knot at a local courthouse in Washington state.
Speaking on the latest episode of her podcast, "Anna Faris is Unqualified," earlier this week, the 44-year-old was joined by matchmaker April Beyer to take calls from listeners seeking relationship and romantic advice.
While giving advice to one caller, Faris let slip that she was now married to Barrett.
"I think we've spent the last year in a place of reflection, in a place of prioritization to some degree, a place of anxiety, a place of assessment," Faris said. "But I'm looking around, so, my fiancé is right... he's now my husband."
She then confirmed that she and Barrett had eloped.
"I'm sorry... I just blurted that out," Faris said. "Yes, we eloped. I'm sorry, honey, I just blurted that out. I can't say fiancé anymore."
The actress described the ceremony as "awesome—it was great." She said: "It was at a local courthouse up in Washington State."
She also revealed that the two of them had said their nuptials without any of their families knowing.
"We saw my family and it kind of slipped out the same way," she said. "My aunt asked me: 'You are going to be a stepmom. How are you feeling about that?' and I said: 'Actually I am a stepmom as of like four days ago, but it was great.'"
Asked why they decided to secretly elope, Faris said: "Everything about it just felt right."
The star was previously married to actor Chris Pratt.
So, who is Michael Barrett? The cinematographer and director is best known for his work on the 2012 comedy Ted as well as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) and Bobby (2006).
He also works as director of photography on the Super Girl series.
Barrett is currently an active member of the American Society of Cinematographers and also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The pair met on the set of the movie Overboard in 2017, before getting engaged in February 2020.
Barrett was previously married to Natasha Sabrina Sizlo, with whom he has two children.
Faris and Guardians of the Galaxy star Pratt divorced in October 2018 after eight years of marriage. They share an eight-year-old son, Jack.
