Jose Mourinho is close to sealing a deal for Manchester United's top summer transfer target Antoine Griezmann, according to reports.
Griezmann, the prolific Atletico Madrid and France striker, has long been reported as Mourinho's number one aim for the summer, as the United manager seeks to improve an attack that has the lowest number of goals of any team in the top six this season.
A deal for Griezmann looked unlikely a few weeks ago, when The Independent reported "complications" had made United turn towards other strikers.
But the Manchester Evening News claims a deal is back on for £86 million, the 26-year-old's buyout clause at Atletico Madrid.
Griezmann, the top goalscorer at UEFA Euro 2016, would vault Mourinho's United to the front of the queue of English Premier League title favorites for 2017-18.
