Alec Baldwin claimed his niece and Bieber are officially married. "They just went off and got married," he told Access Hollywood on the Emmys red carpet Monday night. He offered words of advice to the couple. "You know, when you get married… it works best if you can really be together," he said. "Like you hook your schedules up where you can really be with each other."

According to unnamed sources, Baldwin and Bieber were married in a legal ceremony for technical reasons, but they will still have a real wedding, People reported. Sources alleged the legal marriage is not a big deal to them and they won't consider themselves married until the public wedding.

Friday, September 14: Baldwin tweeted she and Bieber are not married

After their courthouse sighting and swirling rumors, Bieber and Baldwin had legally tied the knot on Thursday, Baldwin told her Twitter followers she is not married, Elle reported Friday. "I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I'm not married yet!" the tweet read. Baldwin has since deleted the tweet.

Unnamed sources claim Baldwin and Bieber were married at a New York courthouse Thursday, People reported.

Thursday, September 13: Baldwin and Bieber were sighted at the courthouse

Photos confirmed Baldwin and Bieber were at the Marriage Bureau at a New York City courthouse Thursday, TMZ reported. Eyewitnesses claimed the pair were emotional. If the couple did obtain a marriage license, it will be valid for 60 days.
