Ariana Grande kicked off her much-anticipated Sweetener World Tour at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York, on Monday. The pop songstress, who now boasts the second-most followed account on Instagram with a massive 148 million followers, is hitting the road to perform songs from her Grammy-winning Sweetener album and the recently released Thank U, Next record.

Grande has been referring to her tour as the Sweetener/Thank U, Next Tour since both albums will be performed live. As the 25-year-old "7 Rings" singer continues to travel globally to perform for her Arianators, here's what fans can expect to see on the Sweetener Tour:

Grande's Tour Features a Mac Miller Tribute

Grande paid homage to her late ex-boyfriend, and sometimes collaborator, Mac Miller during the first stop on her tour. Grande, who dated the Pittsburgh-born rapper from 2016 to 2018, opened the show by playing Miller's biggest hits as fans waited for her to take the stage.

Fans Have to Are Required to Place Belongings in Clear Bags

Grande has made it mandatory for fans attending her shows to put their belongings in clear bags. This is something she also required during The Sweetener Sessions in the Summer of 2018 as well. This regulation is due to a May 2017 bombing that occurred at an arena she performed at in Manchester, United Kingdom. This attack caused 22 deaths. "Clear, venue safety approved bags for sweetener / thank u, next tour available now," she tweeted in February. Clear fanny packs, totes and wristlets are being sold on Grande's website for $8 each.

Fans Can Register to Vote at Grande's Shows

Grande is using her tour as a place to allow fans to register to vote onsite. Fans can also text ARIANA to 40649 to register to vote as well. Texting ARIANA to 40649 would additionally allow fans to signup to volunteer, contact local legislators or receive a notification to register to vote when they turn 18.

Grande's Setlist Includes 30 Songs, Some of Which are Throwbacks

Grande is set to perform several songs from Sweetener including "R.E.M.," "Successful" and "Goodnight 'N Go." Her setlist will include tracks from Thank U, Next like "Needy," "Break Up with your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" and "NASA" as well. She will also incorporate throwbacks into her setlist such as "One Last Time," "Dangerous Woman" and "You'll Never Know."

Grande Abstains From Performing Two Songs From Her 'Thank U, Next' Album

Grande didn't include Thank U, Next tracks "Ghostin'" and "Imagine" in her tour's setlist. This could likely be attributed to the song's subject matter, being Mac Miller. Grande tweeted in February that "Ghostin,'" in particular, will likely never be played live because she wants to "make it thru the show" and is unsure she "can get thru" singing it.

Grande Recruited Three Artists to Open Up Her Tour

Social House—a duo comprised of Michael "Mikey" Foster and Charles "Scootie" Anderson—and Fifth Harmony alum Normani will open for Grande's US tour dates. When Grande ventures abroad, R&B singer Ella Mai will join her.

Grande's Fans Can Look Forward to Seeing Stunning Visuals

Grande informed fans in February that she "shot a bunch" of visuals for her Sweetener World Tour. "Just wanted u to know how f****** over the moon excited and grateful I am. I can't wait to see u," she wrote on Instagram.

Grande Pays Tribute to 'Clueless' on Tour

On the Sweetener World Tour's opening night, Grande incorporated a tribute to Clueless through her wardrobe. She wore a checked pleated skirt with boots to match, which echoes an outfit Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) wore in the film. She last honored the iconic 90s teen film in her Thank U, Next music video.
