Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger might be sitting safer in his seat after three English Premier League victories in a row.

But the Frenchman cannot rest entirely easy, as he might soon lose one of his best players to Spain.

Sport, the Spanish newspaper, claims defender Hector Bellerin, one of Wenger's most highly-prized assets, has been targeted by Barcelona for a major transfer move.

Bellerin grew up in Barcelona's famed La Masia academy but it is at Emirates Stadium where he has really shone.

He has a contract until 2019, but Barcelona is understood to have made a tentative approach in the summer for the Spaniard, who may be tempted by a return home.

The 21-year-old's extreme pace has seen him become the subject of internet memes comparing him to Usain Bolt, while Bellerin himself has jokingly called out the sprint legend for a race.

The defender's situation, though, is no laughing matter for Wenger, particularly if Barcelona gets serious with its interest. Arsenal must find a way, then, of convincing one of its best players, and perhaps its best athlete, to remain in London.
