'Southern Charm' Star Ashley Jacobs Confirms Split From Thomas Ravenel: 'I'll Always Care About Him'

Ashley Jacobs confirmed speculations over her split from Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel. The registered nurse, who appeared on Season 5 of the Bravo reality series alongside Ravenel, shared news of her breakup in an Instagram Live video on Wednesday. The ex-couple dated for a year.

"I don't want to comment but there are just some things I'm trying to handle privately," the 33-year-old said with tears in her eyes. "Before I say too much, I love Thomas and I'll always love Thomas. I'll always care about him."

"I'm still trying to work it out, not work out getting back together, but I'm still trying to figure it out," she continued. "I think everyone's been through breakups before but it's hard. It's not easy. … Sometimes you just want to stay quiet and figure out what the next move in your life is going to be. … I'm just trying to take care of myself the best way that I can."

Jacobs and Ravenel's relationship was a hot topic of discussion among the Southern Charm cast. Some members were under the impression Ravenel took advantage of Jacobs' kindness and loyalty with his continued bad behavior on the show. Following the Southern Charm reunion, which Ravenel didn't attend, Jacobs' Instagram followers noticed her account had essentially been wiped clean of all traces of Ravenel earlier in August. Ravenel similarly removed photos of Jacobs from his social media.

Revealing she's since gained ten pounds and started working out again in the wake of the breakup, Jacobs went on to tell her Instagram followers she wasn't giving up on finding love.

"You guys know some eligible bachelors, hook me up," she said. "They don't have to have money. I'm okay with that. I just want someone to love me for me. It's never been about money. Like I said, I work hard. I wouldn't quit my job. I drive me cute little Honda. I'm okay."

Ravenel, who was accused of sexually assaulting two women earlier this year, announced he would not return to Southern Charm for Season 6.

"I'm not doing the show anymore," the 56-year-old tweeted on August 14. "In the contract, they have the right to fictionalize your story. They took advantage of me. I decided I've got too much to lose and informed them I'm not coming back."
