'Avengers: Endgame' Premiere Red Carpet Can't Make Room for Fans

Avengers: Endgame fans have been patiently waiting near the Los Angeles Convention Center overnight to see the film's stars hit the red carpet during Monday's premiere. But their experience so far hasn't been all they hoped, with some complaining the venue will not provide an area for them to watch their favorite Avengers arrive.

A number of fans have shared their frustrations on social media, tagging people involved in the making of the film—including stars like Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Brie Larson—to alert them to the situation.

One user shared via Twitter that they had been "camping" outside of the venue and asked some the movie's stars if they could "please let us in the premiere," because they didn't "want to be kicked out by the security." A second claimed they had "already been here for two days and behaved, just want to support our favorite event." A third fan said "most of us are from out of state" with many coming from "New York, Canada, and even from China" to see the event.

"It's 2am and we are waiting in the line anxiously since we were told that we will be kicked off from the red carpet," another tweeted. "I assumed that red carpet is for fans who have waited for a such a long [time]!"

Newsweek received comment from a fan who first shared their experience via social media. The fan, who asked to remain anonymous for this report, claimed to have been waiting outside the LACC for several hours. They also claimed there was no fan section for the event and the venue's security personnel moved them to another part of the building that has an obstructed view.

"So tired. They said [there's] no [fan] area without any official [information] before. So we waited for a miracle and freezed outside [the] whole night," the fan told Newsweek. "Now we have already waited for 12 hours. The security kicked us out to another side of [the] street and blocked our view. That's so stressful."

It's not clear if LACC posted signs around the venue prohibiting fans from gathering, though numerous posts using the trending hashtag #endgamepremierela referenced previous Marvel movie premieres having a "fan pit" or designated area for observers to watch the red carpet arrivals.

Representatives for the Los Angeles Convention Center and Disney did not immediately return Newsweek's request for comment.

Directed by Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo, Endgame picks up after the events that transpired in Avengers: Infinity War, where Thanos (Josh Brolin) wiped out half the life in the universe after locating all six Infinity Stones.

Endgame has been one of the most anticipated titles the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever produced. As early tickets became available for the upcoming sequel, the sales broke both first-hour and first-day records. According to BoxOffice.com, early predictions have Endgame potentially eyeing $265 million domestically during its debut weekend. In April 2018, Infinity War drummed up a massive $257.6 million domestically when it opened.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters Friday.
