New 'Avengers: Endgame' Trailer Adds Captain Marvel to the Mix

Marvel Studios released a new Avengers: Endgame trailer that builds up the hype for the April release and adds Captain Marvel into the mix.

The trailer dropped Thursday morning and starts with a montage of the first movies for the original Avengers. Tony Stark (Iron Man), Steve Rogers (Captain America) and Thor Odinson before the end of Infinity War is shown as many of our heroes turn to dust.

There's a lot of new footage from the new Avengers: Endgame trailer, which you can see below before we dive in to the details.

Iron Man starts the trailer with his own monologue, likely from when he's recording his farewell message to Pepper Potts. Tony is drifting in space with his supplies running out. It seems that he's not going to make it.

"God, it feels like a thousand years ago that I walked out of that cave, became Iron Man realized I love you," Tony says. "I know I said there would be no more surprises, but I was really hoping to pull off one last one."

We get lines from the other heroes, reflecting on how the world has changed and the people they've lost.

"Even if there's a small chance. We owe this to everyone who is not in this room to try," Black Widow tells Captain America.

Cap responds that they will, as one by one the Avengers pledge to do "whatever it takes."

There are shots of Rocket on War Machine's back and Hawkeye being reunited with Black Widow. But the most important shot is the last one, where the remaining Avengers walk down a hall wearing what appear to be space suits.

They are heading into space to find Thanos, presumably, but look closer at who's with them. Tony Stark has found his way back to Earth along with Nebula. This Avengers team consists of Captain America, Black Widow, War Machine, Iron Man, Nebula, Hawkeye, Ant Man, and another two behind Natasha, presumably Bruce Banner or Thor.

After the Avengers logo, we get a scene that brings Thor and Captain Marvel together. Odinson walks up to Carol Danvers and holds out his hand to retrieve his Stormbreaker axe. The weapon wizzes by Danvers head as they have a staredown. Thor turns to his comrades and says, "I like this one" before the trailer ends.

Avengers: Endgame will release in theaters April 26.
