'Avengers: Infinity War' Spoilers: Mark Ruffalo Says Hulk Knows Something 'Essential for Survival'

The embargo for the Avengers: Infinity War set visit is finally up, and Mark Ruffalo dished out some very revealing information. According to Nerdist, the Hulk actor not only confirmed he and Thor will be the first of The Avengers to face the Mad Titan, but also said his character acquired some vital knowledge about the Thanos situation.

UPDATE: Here's how to get your advance Avengers: Infinity War tickets

"He's having some difficulties integrating with the rest of the group," Ruffalo told press, "But he's also privy to some information that is essential for their survival."

Ruffalo said Banner knows more about Thanos than anybody and has personally seen the damage he can cause. Though he declined to expand on the details, the post credits scene from Thor: Ragnarok provides some insight. We see The Grandmaster's ship, The Statesman, encounter Thanos' huge vessel, The Sanctuary II. It's likely Thanos is chasing the tesseract, which Loki so conveniently stole before Asgard's destruction. If Hulk is aware of the danger Thanos presents, we can only pray the ship carrying Thor, Hulk and Asgardian survivors wasn't completely blasted to pieces.

Upon Hulk's return from his intergalactic trip with Thor (and eventual run in with the Guardian of the Galaxy), he struggles to accept how the Sokovia Accords, the law that requires powered individuals to register with the government, tore apart The Avengers.

"Coming out of Thor 3," Ruffalo said, "Banner doesn't understand Civil War. He just doesn't get it."

While Hulk may not have expected an altercation like Civil War, Ruffalo does expect the romantic bond between Bruce Banner and Natasha Romanoff to build during Infinity War after Age of Ultron complicated their relationship. The two shared a kiss, but Black Widow pushed Banner off a cliff so he'd transform back into the Hulk. They haven't spoke since, but Ragnarok sparked hope for the couple. Hulk transformed back into Banner by just the mere sight of Black Widow in a recording.

"They're star-crossed lovers, so it'll be something they're dealing with for the rest of their lives," Ruffalo said, according to Comic Book Resources. "Whether it's requited or unrequited, I don't imagine that's gonna go away any time soon in one iteration or another."

Ruffalo said the division between Banner and Hulk is "starting to blur," which could make it easier to move forward with Black Widow. Regarding Hulk's longstanding friendship with Tony Stark, there will be the science banter that defined their relationship early on. However, Wakandan technology will change the game. After all, that is why we see the Avengers in Wakanda in the footage revealed so far: it's the only place with the capacity to defend such a threat.

"You see where the gap is and what some things we're able to do that they're not able to do," Chadwick Boseman told CBR.

T'Challa's sister, Shuri, has already fixed Bucky Barnes with a brand new arm, as seen in the most memorable scene from footage thus far. Boseman also teased a Black Panther suit upgrade. Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition, Tony.
