Some of the biggest names in film will make the journey across the pond for the annual British Academy Film Awards—otherwise known as the BAFTAs—on Sunday. The prestigious awards ceremony will take place at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall, during which Hollywood's elite will be honored for their roles in some of the biggest movies of the year.
Two-time BAFTA TV award winner Joanna Lemley, who won awards for her role in BBC's Absolutely Fabulous, is slated to host the ceremony once again. Lemley made headlines when she hosted the BAFTAs last year, marking the award show's first female host since Mariella Frostrup hosted the event alongside Stephen Fry in 2001.
Actors with nominations in the highest categories are expected to attend the awards show, including Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Viola Davis, Viggo Mortensen, Oliva Colman, Steve Coogan and Rami Malek. Lady Gaga, who was nominated for her role alongside Cooper in the 2018 blockbuster, A Star is Born, will skip the London event and instead appear at the 2019 Grammy Awards, held in Los Angeles on the same day.
Presenters of the night include A-listers like Salma Hayek, Regina King, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Luke Evans, Cate Blanchett, Riz Ahmed, Mary J. Blidge, Lil Colins, Taron Egerton, Ellen Page, Michelle Rodriguez, Andy Serkis, Bill Nighy, Gary Oldman, Marina de Tavira , Jamie Bell, Yalitza Aparicio, Rachel Brosnahan, Henry Golding, Richard Madden, Eddies Marsan, Will Poulter, Eleanor Tomlinson, Michelle Yeoh, Joseph Fiennes, Danai Gurira and Sophie Okonedo.
Award-winning saxophonist Jess Gillam will perform during the ceremony.
The award show will kick off at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America while folks in the U.K. can tune into the star-studded event on BBC1 at 7 p.m. local time.
While there are no live streaming options for the actual ceremony, viewers can catch red carpet arrival via live stream by tuning into the EE British Academy Film Awards broadcast on the organization's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channel at 12 p.m. ET (5 p.m. local time).
