Battletech, the tactical turn-based mech combat game, is nearing completion and developer Harebrained Schemes released another batch of free content for Kickstarter backers. This information comes from a post on the project's Kickstarter page.

In the post, Harebrained Schemes confirms Battletech will release in April 2018. Kickstarter backers at the $25 tier or above will receive a digital copy of Battletech upon release, but those who missed out on the Kickstarter can pre-order through Steam. Battletech is $39.99, with a Deluxe Edition of the game available for $49.99.

As an added bonus for Kickstarter backers and Steam pre-order customers, anyone who picks up a copy of Battletech before release will get a free Shadowhawk Pack. The Pack includes a bonus Shadowhawk skin and exclusive wallpaper.

For Kickstarter backers at the $50 tier or higher, a new digital novella is also available at the Battletech Backerkit. The novella, titled Catastrophe Unlimited, is from author Michael A. Stackpole and further fleshes out the world of Battletech .
