Beagle Running Out House and Jumping Into Stranger's Car Delights Viewers

An overly friendly dog named Luna has delighted the internet after a clip of her getting into a delivery driver's car and ready to go went viral on social media.

In the video, shared on TikTok by the dog's owner, under the username Shaunbrewer2, the beagle can be seen running out of the house and jumping into the delivery driver's car, scaring the passenger on the front seat, before the driver came back to the car and put her away.

The owner explained in a caption: "My dog would really go with anyone. Don't think the woman in the car was too impressed."

Beagles are among the most-loved dogs in America. In 2022, the breed came seventh on the list of most-popular dogs in the country. According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), beagles were initially bred for hunting, which is why they have a phenomenal sense of smell and seemingly endless stamina, great for hunting rabbits and hares.

In the United States, beagles are classified in one of two ways in terms of size: there are those under 13 inches; and those over 13, but at or under 15 inches. They are among the most-vocal dog breeds and can make three different sounds: a standard bark; a yodel-like sound called a bay (which the dog uses when hunting); and a howl.

Because of their incredible sense of smell, beagles make great working dogs. They are often used as bed-bug detectors, and the Department of Homeland Security also utilizes beagles in airports to find food in passengers' luggage, to prevent the spread of foreign diseases and parasites. This team of dogs is called The Beagle Brigade.
