Manchester United has opened talks over a potential £70 million ($87.6 million) deal for Portugal international Bernardo Silva, according to reports.
Silva, 22, has starred in a free-scoring AS Monaco team that sits three points clear at the top of Ligue 1, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.
According to The Sun, Silva is being tracked by Barcelona and United would need pay a hefty fee to secure his services.
United manager José Mourinho is also believed to be working on a deal for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, as he seeks to reshape his squad in the summer for another tilt at the English Premier League title next season.
