Bethenny Frankel's Ed Kelce Comment Backfires

Bethenny Frankel cannot seem to escape the comments she made about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, especially after the former's dad took aim at her.

Frankel came under fire after the Super Bowl for comparing the Kansas City Chiefs tight end to a caveman and describing him as a "peacock." The former Real Housewives of New York star was then described as a "troll" by Ed Kelce, the father of Travis and his Philadelphia Eagles' brother, Jason Kelce.

"Who TF is this troll," Ed Kelce shared to his Facebook atop a link to a Newsweek article about Frankel's comments.

Then, Frankel retaliated on her podcast, Just B, saying while she understands his need to be a protective parent, he went too far in slinging insults at her.

She added that as a "grown-a** adult" she was allowed to share her perspective on Kelce and his relationship with Swift, so there was no need to insult her. Frankel also denied she spoke about Kelce yelling at his coach Andy Reid, even though she had spoken about it in an earlier Instagram video.

"It's a little absurd, but it's making headlines, so sorry not sorry," Frankel concluded.

Despite her attempts at clearing the air, a number of people took to social media to slam her comments on the podcast.

"She just seems Desperate for public attention. She's in Everyone's business for Absolutely No reason," wrote one person on X, formerly Twitter.

Another added: "Bro all she does is criticize lmfao."

But some defended Frankel: "Bethenny ended him."

Ed Kelce's comments about Frankel was not the only time people have made fun of the reality star for sharing her opinion about Kelce and Swift.

The TikTok and X account known as BravoB****Fest posted a video pretending to be Frankel, using a filter to exaggerate their facial features and voice.

"I figured it out, I figured it out," the parody video began. "Travis Kelce is the peacock in the relationship. And it's not gonna work. Because guess what? Taylor's also a peacock. Everyone knows you can't have two peacocks in a relationship. It's basic relationship math."

"Just saying it's gonna be interesting to find out how this all turns out when she finally realizes that, he's a peacock and he needs so much attention. And then what she gonna do?" the video continued.

"I could just never be with anyone like that."

It continued with the character claiming that Kelce "slid into my DMs" and a lot of "hot guys" do, but "I just don't want them," and joked how she said in one of her videos about Kelce and Swift that she was "insular" and liked to stay at home.

"I know everyone thinks I'm 'Miss New York City' and stuff, but I really am very insular... seriously can you imagine being with someone like that who has to pick up the microphone to be the center of attention and let their opinions be heard? Could you imagine what it would be like to be around someone like that all the time?"
