More Bill Murray Allegations: Seth Green Said Star Dropped Him in Trash Can

Seth Green is the latest Hollywood personality to make claims of inappropriate behavior from Bill Murray.

On Thursday, Green appeared on the Good Mythical Morning YouTube show, where he answered a series of what the show called "embarrassing questions." At one point, the actor and creator of Robot Chicken recalled his rudest celebrity encounter with hosts Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal. Green named Murray as the rudest star he's met before recounting a moment that occurred when he was a child.

Green's accusations about Murray come as the Ghostbusters star has faced other allegations of acting poorly toward co-stars. Last week, Geena Davis told The Times (U.K.) that Murray screamed at her on the set of 1990's Quick Change as well as insisted on using a massage device on her.

Earlier this year, Murray was also accused of unspecified reports of bad behavior during filming of Aziz Ansari's directorial debut, Being Mortal, which led to the movie pausing production. Murray was also accused by actress Lucy Liu in a 2021 interview of making insulting comments about her during the filming of 2000's Charlie's Angels.

Green's alleged account, though, occurred when he was just a child. He told Good Mythical Morning he was on Saturday Night Live in 1981 for a Christmas sketch when he ended up in a trash can at the hands of the "jerk" comedy legend.

"[Murray] saw me sitting on the arm of this chair and made a big fuss about me being in his seat," Green said. "And I was like, 'That is absurd. I am sitting on the arm of this couch. There are several lengths of this sofa. Kindly eff off.'"

Green said his mother suggested he move for Murray, but he remained "indignant" toward the star, which led to the alleged altercation becoming physical.

"He picked me up by my ankles...held me upside down....He dangled me over a trash can, and he was like, 'The trash goes in the trash can,'" Green said.

He continued, "[Murray] dropped me in the trash can, the trash can falls over. I was horrified. I ran away, hid under the table in my dressing room, and just cried."

Green said that afterwards SNL cast members Eddie Murphy and Tim Kazurinsky tried to console him.

"They come back and come in my room like, 'Hey, everybody knows Bill's a d**k, you know? He's hosting the show. He's probably really, like, nervous about it,'" Green said.

Newsweek reached out to Murray's representative and Green for comment.
