Bouncer Shows What Happens to Fake IDs in Hilarious Video: 'Legendary'

Online commenters are in hysterics over a video that shows a bouncer confiscating a woman's fake ID.

The video was posted to TikTok by Zevan Hunt, who wrote: "What I do when I get a fake ID...this happened while I was working." It has amassed over 9 million views and more than 10,000 comments calling the post "legendary." You can watch the full video here.

Kat Garcia, a content strategy manager with the National Notary Association (NNA), told Newsweek that there are three factors to consider when determining if an ID is fake. Those factors are: "the person, the information and the physical card."

  1. Observe the person's behavior—"Do they seem nervous or anxious?" Garcia asked. "Are they trying to distract or rush you through checking their ID?"
  2. Read the card's information—Ensure the photo "matches the person in front of you," Garcia said. And ask yourself: "Can [the ID holder] confirm information like date of birth and follow it up with their zodiac sign?"
  3. Examine the card—Garcia reminds people to pay close attention to the ID's "security features." And again, ask yourself: "Does the card feel too thick, too thin, or rough around the edges?"

In his video, Hunt tells viewers he knows an ID is fake when he can "rip it in half."

Hunt's Video

"I get [asked a lot], 'What do I do when I get a fake ID?'" Hunt says at the beginning of his video. "Well, I'll show you."

Hunt walks over to a woman waiting at the bar's entrance and tells her, "Ma'am, this is a fake ID." When she insists it's real, Hunt responds: "Well, if that's so, why can I rip the fake ID in half?"

The woman stares at Hunt, speechless. After a few moments, Hunt tells the woman to leave, and when she asks for her ID, he says, "You can't have it back."
