Meet the New 'Bridgerton' Season 3 Cast and Characters

The news for Bridgerton fans just keeps getting better and better.

Not only will the upcoming series delve deep into Penelope (played by Nicola Coughlan) and Colin's (Luke Newton) love story, but there are also three new faces joining the show's cast, set to make things on the 'ton very interesting.

As if things could not get any better, filming for Season 3 has officially begun.

So, who are the new faces joining the world of Bridgerton? Newsweek has everything you need to know.

Sam Phillips as Lord Debling

Sam Phillips will play the role of Lord Debling, an eccentric yet powerful figure with significant influence over the ton, and the ladies.

Phillips is best known for his television and stage career, including for his role in the BBC series The Syndicate, in which he starred opposite Outlander's Richard Rankin and the children's series, Hotel Trubble.

His other credits include In The Flesh and The Crown.

On stage, he starred in the National Theatre Production of The History Boys and Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare's Globe.

Daniel Francis as Marcus Anderson

Daniel Francis takes on the role of Marcus Anderson, who has been described as a "charismatic presence" who lights up every room he enters.

However, Marcus will be a polarizing figure, looking favorable to some of the powerful women in the ton but not to the others.

Francis is best known for his role as Dave Shaw in the hit Harlan Coben thriller Stay Close for Netflix.

His other well-known credits include Doctor Facilier in Disney/ABC's hit series Once Upon A Time and Esmond Smith in Small Axe directed by Academy Award-winning director Steve McQueen.

He can also soon be seen in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Liaison, which stars Vincent Cassel and Eva Green, and Season 2 of Amazon Prime's The Wheel of Time.

Francis is also well known for his stage career, playing in The Brothers Size at the Young Vic and Off the Endz at the Royal Court Theatre in London.

James Phoon as Harry Dankworth

James Phoon will star as Harry Dankworth, the man all of the women want to dance with at the regency balls in Bridgerton Season 3.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Phoon posted a screenshot of Deadline's article announcing his casting with the caption: "See you at the ball... It's gonna be a TON of fun."

Phoon is an up-and-coming actor, who will star as Hamish in the brand new comedy-thriller Wreck.

Season 3 of Bridgerton will follow the friends-to-lovers romance between Penelope and Colin.

When audiences meet Penelope in Season 3, she is moving on from Colin and trying to find a husband for herself.

Colin eventually returns from his travels where he learns the upsetting news that Penelope is occupied courting other men. Determined to get their friendship back on track, Colin offers to help Penelope with meeting her future husband but soon, Colin is forced to address whether his love for Penelope is more than "just friends."

For "Polin" fans, here's hoping new arrivals Marcus Anderson, Lord Debling and Harry Dankworth do not get in the way of Penelope and Colin's romance.

Bridgerton Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Netflix now. Season 3 is currently in production.
