Caitlyn Jenner Tells U.S. President Donald Trump He Can Learn From Her Memoir

Caitlyn Jenner has invited U.S. President Donald Trump to read her recently published memoir, Secrets of My Life, suggesting the head of state "might learn something" from it.

In a video Jenner posted on her Instagram account on Thursday, the TV personality and former Olympic athlete says: "President Trump, C aitlyn Jenner in town. I want you to read my book, The Secrets of My Life —you might learn something. And by the way, when you are done with it, please give it to [ Attorney General] Jeff Sessions."

Jenner, who publicly revealed her identity as a transgender woman in April 2015, voted for Republican candidate Trump in November's presidential election.

However, she has become increasingly critical of the Trump administration , which she accuses of not doing enough for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender ( LGBT) community.

In February, Jenner called out Trump after his administration overturned a federal law that allowed transgender students to choose which bathroom they wanted to use in schools.

Jenner tweeted that the overturn was "a disaster" and implored Trump to give her a call. "You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community," she added.

Sessions is known for opposing to laws that would grant greater protection to the LGBT community. The attorney general said in January he was against gay marriage, and supported Trump's overturn of the transgender bathrooms.

During an interview at the Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, Jenner expressed frustration at the Republican party's lack of support for LGBT issues.

"I'm not a one-issue voter, I'm not stupid. The Republican party does not do a good job when it comes to equality and the entire LGBT community. The Democrats are better there," she said.
