Caitlyn Jenner in Hot Water Over Israel-Hamas Statements

Caitlyn Jenner is the latest celebrity to face backlash for their comments about the Israel-Hamas war.

The reality star took to X, formerly Twitter, to share her Thanksgiving thoughts, many of which centered on the release of Hamas-held hostages from Gaza.

The more than 200 people were captured on October 7 when the military arm of the Palestinian group launched an attack on Israel which led to the death of about 1,200 people.

Israel then retaliated with its most fierce campaign of air strikes and ground offensive in Gaza. As a result, more than 13,300 have been killed in Gaza, according to the Associated Press.

The two sides agreed to a temporary pause in fighting in order to facilitate the exchange of Hamas hostages for jailed Palestinians incarcerated by Israel.

Jenner shared her thoughts on the pause in the war and praised Israel in a series of posts on X.

"In reflecting on all I am thankful for this season, I am beyond thankful for the work put in by Israel, and our partners in the region, for the release of hostages from the brutal Hamas terrorists—regardless of nationality. We must free them all," she began.

But in her posts from November 25, Jenner balked that at that stage, no American hostages were released in the most recent deal. A 4-year-old girl by the name of Abigail Edan became the first American released when she was handed over on Sunday.

"How is it that not one American hostage was released? Biden too busy in Nantucket napping after his Turkey dinner?! Unacceptable! Weak! We need America First! We need Trump back—the man to get the job done! We had world peace and normalization in the Middle East under Trump," Jenner wrote.

She added: "The world has no respect nor fear of the USA anymore, despite being the most powerful nation in the world bc of Biden. Hamas will hold American hostages (as young as 4 years old) until Biden provides concessions we haven't seen since Barack sent a plane with $400m of CASH to Iran."

"The concessions Biden will have to provide to Hamas (Iran proxy) will be of epic proportions. Don't forget last week he extended the 'pause' of sanctions on Iran, to the tune of $10Billion, and allows Iran to sell 3MILLION barrels of oil /day. Trump Iran sanctions led to peace," Jenner wrote in another post.

She concluded by writing: "Unlike@realDonaldTrump, Biden doesn't understand, that we cannot coexist with terrorists. The Iranian people are being held under the wrath of the Ayatollah and the current regime. There will never be peace with that govt in place—let alone w/ the weakest US president."

But people replied to Jenner and disagreed with her comments.

"The last thing we need is the criminal Trump back. Put your big girl panties back on and woman up and realize that Trump is the last thing we woman need," wrote one person.

Another criticized her for not mentioning her family: "So in your post about what you are thankful for it's not family or friends or anything but its war?"

And a third simply replied: "Zip it, girl."

Some others praised Jenner's point of view, with one writing: "You speaketh the truth. No real peace until Trump returns."
