Woolsey Fire: Kim Kardashian West Among Mandatory Los Angeles County Evacuations as Hill Fire Blazes Nearby

Kim Kardashian West was among the people evacuated from their homes outside Los Angeles, after two brush fires flared up in nearby Ventura County. Firefighters are currently battling the "very dangerous" blazes.

According to Cal Fire, the Woolsey Fire spans 2,000 acres between E Street and Alfa Road south of Simi Valley. The Hill Fire, only a few miles, away is burning across 10,000 acres between Santa Rosa Valley's Hill Canyon Road and Santa Rosa Road.

Kardashian West, who is married to the rapper Kanye West and lives in nearby Calabasas, posted footage of the fires to her social media accounts from a plane she was traveling in.

"Pray for Calabasas," she wrote. "Just landed back home and had 1 hour to pack up and evacuate our home. I pray everyone is safe. Firefighters are arriving. Thank you for all that you do for us!"

Ventura County Fire Department imposed mandatory evacuations on all residents in a number of affected areas, including neighboring Los Angeles County and the city of L.A., over fears the fire would spread. Both brush fires started after 2 p.m. on Thursday.

The L.A. County Fire Department tweeted: "Fire has entered L.A. County, multiple structures have been impacted in the Oak Park area, Reyes Adobe north of [Thousand Oaks] Blvd. It is critical that residents pay close attention to evacuation orders. This is a very dangerous wind driven fire."

According to Ventura County's Emergency Information website, there are currently mandatory evacuations in place for the Hill Fire at Point Mugu Naval Base, Camarillo Springs, Vallecito Trailer Park, California State University Channel Islands, Entire Dos Vientos and South Coast.

For the Woolsey Fire, there are mandatory evacuations from Bell Canyon's Saddlebow Road between Maverick Lane and Morgan Road; Oak Park, Thousand Oaks from T.O. Boulevard north to Sunset Hills and from Oak Park West to Highway 23; West of Highway 23, including south of E. Olsen Road and north of Pederson Road; and South of Bard Lake, East of Highway 23.

There are a number of evacuation centers open to take in those who had to flee their homes. School and road closures are also in place across affected areas.

The fires have taken hold a short distance away from Thursday's mass shooting at the Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks. The suspect Ian David Long, 28, a former Marine, is alleged to have shot and killed 12 people at the bar before he was shot dead by police.
