'Call of Duty' Alexa Skill Guide - How to Install & List of Commands to Use

Call of Duty is the latest Activision franchise to get its own Alexa Skill, and we've put together a short guide to help get you started. If you want to know how to install it and which commands to use, we've got you covered.

HOW TO INSTALL THE 'CALL OF DUTY' ALEXA SKILL

  1. Open your Alexa app, then tap the menu button with three lines in the top-left corner and select "Skills."
  2. Type Call of Duty in the search box that appears. You'll see lots of clones, so look for the trademarked version made by Activision Publishing. You can also find it by using the website here.
  3. While signed in with your Amazon account, click the button to "Enable" the Skill.
  4. At this point, you'll be asked to link your accounts with the Skill. Start by typing in the credentials for your PlayStation Network, Xbox Live or Steam account.
  5. If there's no official Call of Duty account associated with that gamertag, you'll be asked to create one. Provide your desired password, location, birthday and community name (account name) to proceed. If you don't want to receive extra emails, uncheck the box related to that. Check the box to agree to the terms.
  6. Once that information is entered, you're ready to start using the Skill.

Note that the Skill only works with one platform at a time. If you've got multiple platforms linked to your account, you must unlink your secondary one on the Call of Duty account site. Log in, click "Linked Accounts" in the top-right menu and unlink the one(s) you don't wish to use.

WHAT COMMANDS DOES THE 'CALL OF DUTY' ALEXA SKILL USE?

Even though the Call of Duty Alexa Skill is available to the public, it's technically still in beta, so its number of commands is somewhat limited. Here are the commands we know so far:

  • Start Call of Duty: Makes Alexa aware that you're using the Skill and may be required for any of the subsequent commands to work.
  • Call of Duty, how did I do my last match : Provides detailed stats of your most recent matches and offers tips for how you can improve. The more you use the Skill, the more helpful its insight becomes.
  • Call of Duty, what Contracts and Orders am I close to completing: If you're working towards a Supply Drop reward, this command communicates your challenge status. With those details at the ready, you can tailor your playstyle to finish the task as fast as possible.
  • Call of Duty , what's my K/D ratio: Quickly reveals your current K/D ratio so you can impress your friends.
  • Call of Duty, are any of my friends online right now: Reveals friends on your buddy list that are available to play. It helps you monitor clan activity without logging in.

That's all there is to it. If you have any more tips, suggestions or questions, feel free to leave them in the comments section!
