When can you preload 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4?'
Those who pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 before Oct. 12 will have the option of preloading the game. Here are the times worth knowing on all platforms.
- PS4/Xbox : 12 a.m. local time Oct. 10
- PC : 12 a.m. EDT Oct. 9
Some reports have also surfaced suggesting Xbox preloads are available now. In order for the preload and post-launch installation to work properly, players are advised to have about 112GB of free space on their hard drives. The basic preload file size is around 45GB, but a hefty day-one patch means you'll need more than that.
'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4' PC Requirements
If you're playing Black Ops 4 on PC, here are the recommended and minimum specs necessary to get the job done:

Day-One updates
As suggested above, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has a massive day-one update that should install shortly after your preload has finished. Its size is about 50GB on PS4 and 55GB on Xbox One. In other words, you'll basically have to install the full game twice before unlocking the finished experience. When downloads are 30 percent complete you'll have the option to play Blackout, but doing so will likely decrease the download speed for the rest of the package.
