Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: How to Get Early Access

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to debut in full in October, when it will reveal a new cinematic campaign and multiplayer mode with regular updates throughout its multiple seasons. But players eager to suit up and jump into battle early will have a chance to do so very, very soon. Beyond the multiple beta previews for COD's multiplayer mode, there's a separate week set aside for campaign early access. That means players could potentially play the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign mode a full week before the rest of the world.

This sequel to 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is actually a reboot of the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and will, as such, feature a new storyline, characters and engine, so it'll all look more polished and exciting than ever before. Plus, it'll still include the same tight, action-packed gunplay you're used to from the previous games.

As for actually playing the game, it's still a couple of months away, but if you want to get in on the game early, you can absolutely do so. Call of Duty has always been good about letting those who want to see and play everything early have a chance to do so, even if that means extended beta periods, early access by purchasing the game, or other methods that make it fair for anyone who wants to be involved.

Looking to find out how to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 early? How about how to join the Modern Warfare 2 beta? Read on for details about what you should do if you want to experience the campaign a week before the rest of the world, and which version of the game you should set your sights on.
