Cardi B Blasts Tomi Lahren on Twitter After Commentator Mocks 21 Savage's ICE Arrest

Tomi Lahren found herself in the hot seat with Cardi B after she mocked 21 Savage on Twitter. The conservative commentator, who has a knack for pissing off liberals with her controversial opinions, sounded off on 21 Savage's arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Sunday, sparking immediate backlash from Savage fans, including fellow rapper Cardi.

Lahren retweeted Variety's report on Savage, announcing the I Am > I Was rapper's arrest by ICE officers in Atlanta on Sunday due to an expired visa. Mocking Savage, Lahren referenced his hit single "Bank Account" in her response to the news. "I got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight ICE agents ready to deport ya," she wrote.

Savage's fans quickly reacted to the tweet, noting the Fox Nation commentator's former favor of Savage and shared clips of a past Instagram video Lahren posted, in which she is seen rapping the actual "Bank Account" lyrics.

Cardi, who recently feuded with Lahren over President Donald Trump's demands for a border wall, chimed in shortly after, retweeting Lahren with one simple threat: "Don't make me get my leash."

Savage, born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph Abraham-Joseph, was taken into custody by ICE Agents who claimed the Grammy-nominated rapper had been living illegally in the U.S. since his visa expired in July 2006. Although Savage commonly refers to Atlanta as his home base, the agency said he moved to the U.S. when he was 12 years old as a citizen of the United Kingdom.

"Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts," ICE said in a statement to CNN on Sunday. "ICE will now await the outcome of his case before a federal immigration judge to determine future actions."

Savage was born in the London borough of Newham.

Cardi and Lahren exchanged words on Twitter back in January after Cardi posted an impassioned video expressing her frustrations over the government shutdown—which lasted 35 days—and federal employees being forced back to work without pay. Lahren responded to Cardi's video seemingly suggesting the "Money" rapper was not someone equipped to make political hot takes.

Her comment provoked an immediate response from Cardi, who said, "Leave me alone I will dog walk you."
