Cat Brings Home Kitten He Found Outside in Heartwarming Video: 'New Daddy'

A cat has melted hearts online after "adopting" a stray kitten he found on the streets, taking care of him as its own.

In a video shared on TikTok earlier in August by the cat's owner, Arnold.little, the white cat cuddles a grey kitten he found outside. The pair seem very comfortable together.

The clip is captioned: "My cat found a kitten and this was right before he brought him inside his new house!"

The cat's owner has since adopted the kitten, saying: Of course we kept him! I don't think my white kitty would have let me do anything else! They instantly bonded!"

PETA estimates that between 60 and 100 million homeless cats live on the streets of the U.S.

As feral cats are domestic animals, they depend on humans to feed, water, and shelter them. In the streets, they face threats from contagious diseases to worms, fleas and untreated injuries.

According to PETA, "the street is no place for a cat," as they are a threat to wildlife. The American Bird Conservancy estimates that free-roaming cats kill millions of birds and small mammals in the U.S. every year, including endangered species such as the least tern and the piping plover.

The clip has been viewed over 117,800 times and over 20,500 times, and most users are loving the cat and his new kitten.

One user, Heather D. Norris, commented: "What sweet cat... he's a new Daddy now." And Pearl39771 said: "Oh he loves him! So stinking cute!"

Another user, Dani, suggested: "Definitely needs a vet trip- that was fly strike on his back. Fly eggs that will turn into maggots if not removed." And Milsunpen said: "Was that fly strike on him? His little waggly tail is the CUTEST. Never saw a baby do that."

krazyPickle57 wrote: "what a wonderful BFF for the kitten. please combine out the fly strikes (eggs) with a fine tooth comb. thanks for rescuing him!!" And spracerx added: "You're my friend now!...."

"I swear white cats are the gentlest and most accepting to new kitties!!! Adorable," said nicolelynn1388. And Brandy Reagan wrote: "Instant soul mates."

Loriepostlewaite said: "I love how he completely claimed him and was taking such good care of him so precious. I hope you decided to keep the baby." And melanieguerra605 wrote: "Your cat is just the sweetest thing! Good luck with the little baby!"

Another user, Milette Spangler added: "How sweet! He totally adopted the baby."
