Cat Shows Off Guitar Talents in Video Viewed Nearly 2 Million Times

A cat put on a show in a TikTok that has been viewed nearly 2 million times where she strummed a tune on a guitar using her teeth.

"Why I can't leave my guitar out anymore," read the caption on Jake Neumar's video, which was shared to his TikTok account @jakeneumar.

Briefly sniffing the guitar, the curious cat then leaned in and began chewing the guitar strings, creating a short melody. Many viewers jokingly remarked on the cat's musical abilities, and Neumar explained his cat was currently losing her kitten teeth.

According to Hill's Pet Nutrition, a pet food company for cats and dogs, kittens develop their milk teeth by the time they are 3- to 4-weeks-old. They lose these teeth when they are 3- to 4-months-old and grow their adult teeth.

"Typically, all adult teeth are in place by the time a kitten is [6-months-old]," the piece stated. "Most adult cats have 26 baby teeth and 30 adult teeth."

Cat owners may notice their cat is teething based on a few signs, including a loss of appetite, irritability and excessive chewing.

There may be some discomfort for cats that are teething, but there are ways for owners to ease any potential pain.

The article published with Hill's Pet Nutrition suggested offering the teething cat a cold and wet washcloth, cloth toys or braided ropes as something to chew on during the teething process.

Some of the commenters on Neumar's video asked about the teething process while others shared their delight over music's next rising star.

"Sick riffs, bro," a viewer wrote.

"Ohhh so THIS is doja-cat everyone's been talkin bout," another comment read, referring to the popular singer and songwriter.

Some quipped that the cat would soon start playing Wonderwall by Oasis. Other viewers jokingly asked when they can start streaming the cat's song on Spotify.

"Me listening to the set 3 AM crying because it's so beautiful," one TikTok user wrote.

"That cat can play better than mine," another declared.

Newsweek reached out to Jake Neumar for comment.

This is not the only viral video of a cat that left viewers in stitches.

Newsweek previously reported that another TikTok viewed more than 26 million times showed a cat feeling the effects of sitting near a chopped onion. Tears filled the cat's eyes, but it continued to sit on the countertop next to the onion.
