Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra Divorce? 'Teen Mom OG' Star Fears Separation Will Lead to Indefinite Split

Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra are moving forward with their decision to live separately for a little while on the current season of Teen Mom OG.

Although both parties initially agreed to the living situation on a trial basis, a conversation on Monday's episode of the MTV reality show revealed Catelynn's reservations about the move and its possible impact on their daughter, Novalee Reign.

"It's only eight minutes down the road," Tyler explained. "We're just living separate. It's not like we're dating other people and never talking to each other for 30 days. We all need personal space sometimes."

Catelynn noted she didn't "want this kind of space every couple years" before she finally opened up on her biggest fears regarding the separation.

"That's why I wanted to know for sure, if after these 30 days if I was gonna be coming there and living with you. Or were you planning on, like, the end of these 30 days being like, 'No, I want a divorce.' Like, is he doing this just to get away and then tell me that we're over with? Like, if so, I need to know now. If the heartbreak's gonna be there in the end…" she trailed off.

Catelynn and Tyler have been a couple since they were first introduced to fans on the franchise-spawning 16 and Pregnant in 2009. The pair were expecting their first child back then, a daughter named Carly, who they gave up for adoption. Their honesty about the challenges of adoption and devotion to each other along the way quickly resulted in the couple becoming a fan-favorite.

Despite the many ups and downs they've endured, they always seem to manage back together. This new living situation is likely to be no different, as Tyler recently revealed their marriage was "doing great" while the pair lives apart.

"It's funny, because we actually don't even call it separation anymore. We say, 'Let's just do 30 days of self-reflection time. You get to focus on you, I get to focus on me. We'll continue to do couple's therapy,'" he told Us Weekly in early December.

Will #TeenMomOG's Catelynn and Tyler's trial separation become permanent, or will it only make them stronger? https://t.co/Z4clWXICLf pic.twitter.com/1KqV8OJOze
