The Celebrities Who Aren't Voting for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton may be the loudest voices in the U.S. presidential election race, but they aren't the only candidates.

While the Republicans and Democrats dominate the political sphere, and the bulk of celebrity endorsements, fringe groups like the Libertarian Party and Green Party have some notable supporters of their own.

As much of liberal Hollywood rallies in support of Clinton, some, including Bernie Sanders supporters Susan Sarandon and Rosario Dawson, have decided to switch allegiances to other parties instead of voting for the Clinton-led Democrats.

As America hits the polls Tuesday, here are some of the stars who are marking their ballot papers a little differently from the rest of the country.

Susan Sarandon

Voting for: Jill Stein, Green Party

The Oscar-winning actor is one of the few people in Hollywood who has been vocal in her criticism of Clinton. Sarandon was one of Bernie Sanders's most ardent supporters but was left disappointed by the result of the Democratic primary.

In June, she warned that a Clinton presidency could be "more dangerous" than Trump in charge and later elaborated that she wouldn't vote for Clinton just because she's a woman. "I don't vote with my vagina," she said.

So, who is the Thelma and Louise star backing? Green Party candidate Jill Stein, for who she wrote a letter of endorsement last week. "Fear of Donald Trump is not enough for me to support Clinton, with her record of corruption," she wrote. "Now that Trump is self-destructing, I feel even those in swing states have the opportunity to vote their conscience."

Viggo Mortensen

Voting for: Jill Stein, Green Party

Another actor who hasn't been convinced by Clinton is this Lord of the Rings star. In July, he endorsed Stein, saying: "If you really want a woman president—if that's what you want—vote for Jill Stein."

"I trust Hillary about as much as I trust Donald Trump," the actor said. "I think she's dishonest, I don't think she has the interests of working people at heart, and I think she's shown that time and again. All the things that Bernie Sanders said about her I agree with."

Daniel Bryan

Voting for: Jill Stein, Green Party

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and environmentalist Daniel Bryan publicly revealed his support for Stein on an episode of Talking Smack , which airs on the WWE Network, in September. Bryan has retweeted many of Stein's tweets about her political rivals in recent weeks.

Melissa Joan Hart

Voting for: Gary Johnson, Libertarian Party

The Sabrina the Teenage Witch star is hoping for Libertarian Party leader Gary Johnson to cast a spell over the election and break the two-party system in the U.S. In September, Hart joined Johnson's team as chairperson for the campaign in Connecticut.

"I want to break away from this two-party system and I think it's important for people to know that there's another candidate out there who really toes the line between Democrat and Republican," Hart told People magazine. "I mean, he's Libertarian. But socially he's liberal, but fiscally conservative."

Penn Jillette

Voting for: Gary Johnson, Libertarian Party

The magician is a supporter for Gary Johnson's Libertarian Party but voted for Clinton. Confused? Jillette explained on his Penn's Sunday School podcast that he voted for Clinton in his home state of Nevada, a swing state, in exchange for friends in states like New York and California voting for Johnson to help third parties get on the ballot. He said he had "11 or 12" people agree to vote for Johnson.

Raven Symone

Voting for: Gary Johnson, Libertarian Party

The actor and View co-host backed Johnson on an episode of the ABC talk show, praising him for "telling the truth." She said: "I think he's awesome in his stances, he's pro-gay marriage, pro-choice, less military intervention in other countries… and he admits that he smokes marijuana. He's being real. I would rather someone tell the truth about it."

Oliver Stone

Voting for: Jill Stein, Green Party

Director Oliver Stone said he agreed with neither Trump nor Clinton's attitude to war in an interview with Wired magazine in September, and will be backing Stein. "[Trump] says stupid things like 'We are going to build the greatest military'—when we have the greatest military," said the Snowden filmmaker. "We spend three times more than anyone else. So that kind of talk is crazy. But I worry about Hillary Clinton the same way. She has been regime-change all the way. I will vote for Jill Stein."

Isaiah Washington

Voting for: Jill Stein, Green Party

Another Stein supporter, the former Grey's Anatomy actor has been critical of Clinton and the Democrats on Twitter. In July, he announced he would vote for Stein instead. In the lead-up to Tuesday's election, he had harsh words about Clinton, telling one Twitter user "HRC wouldn't spit on you if she saw you burning in the street. You don't make enough money."

I'll be voting for @DrJillStein. Join me.
