A chemical plant explosion in Texas has sparked a large fire, leaving one person injured and another person missing, according to authorities.
The fire began at the Tri-Chem Industries Plant in Cresson, Texas around 10 a.m. local time. According to the company's website, the plant is known as a "chemical blending facility."
Sheriff Roger Deeds of Hood County, Texas told KTVT that one person was missing and another badly injured in the blast that happened near the city of Cresson, Texas, on State Highway 171.
Seven fire departments were fighting the fire, Cresson Mayor Bob Cornett told local news station KXAS-TV. Firefighters were being cautious in case of another explosion.
