TikToker @sofiadivene is giving the Tom Cruise deepfakes a run for their money, but no AI is needed for her uncanny transformation into Christina Aguilera.
Makeup artist Divene, who admittedly strongly resembles the pop star, shared her remarkable conversion with the app less than a day ago and it's already gained more than 450,000 views.
To the sound of "Dirrty," she documents her transformation from beginning to end. The look is direct from Christina Aguilera's 2002 appearance at the MTV VMAs, fit with blonde and black extensions, a blue scarf as a top, a white hat and lots of gloss.
The 2002 VMAs were an interesting choice by Divene. That year Aguilera awkwardly presented Eminem with the "Best Male" award even though the pair had a very public ongoing feud, with Eminem even name-dropping her in "The Real Slim Shady."
"You look more like Christina than Christina looks like Christina," one very impressed TikTok user commented.
"You mean to tell me that this isn't Christina Aguilera?" joked another.
While another TikTok user wrote: "For a second I was thinking you were her sister."
Divene told Newsweek: "The first time I ever heard that I resembled her was when I was about eight years old when my sister's friend repeatedly mentioned it to her, but that was probably the only time I had gotten it. My first actual realization of the resemblance was after my very first recreation of 'But I Am A Good Girl' from the movie Burlesque. I've always been so inspired by the movie, so I decided to give it a go and I was blown away by the response it got."

Divene's most recent video may be her most accurate, but it's certainly not the first time she has emulated the look of Aguilera online. The TikToker frequently recreates requested looks, including ones straight from the 2010 movie Burlesque, in which Aguilera starred, and the iconic "Lady Marmalade" music video with Pink, Lil' Kim and Mya.
"I love trying out different celebrities just to switch things up a bit. I'm compared to so many different people so I love getting inspiration from the comment section and trying the looks out anyway just for fun! I wouldn't say I have a preference because I have so many other celebs I want to do but my favorite ones will always be the Christina looks," said Divene.
"Getting to play her character has made me grow so much respect for her as an artist and a person. Plus, I love how excited her fans get when they see the videos— it truly makes me feel like I'm doing her justice and it's one of the best feelings in the world," she added.
Aguilera even took notice of the TikTok transformations herself and, clearly impressed, posted a montage video of some of Devene's looks to her own account. "You are too good," she captioned the clip on May 1.
Divene told Newsweek that imitating the looks can be a lengthy process.
"First off, I have to find the look I'm going to do. Then I have to find all of the material from costumes, to makeup, and accessories. Sometimes, I just have to buy materials and make the costume myself which isn't always fun but I always feel accomplished after I do.
"As for filming, if TikTok doesn't offer the audio I need or the part of the song that I'm looking for, then I might need to upload my own sound. Then it goes into creating the look, filming the TikTok, creating new transitions, and editing the end result."
"Lately, I've been filming 2-3 versions of the video just to be on the safe side. Then I'll just pick and choose the scenes that I like the most and compile them into the final product that you guys see. It's definitely a process but I'm always so proud of the end result," said Divene.
