Williams, 47, was arrested by Portland police as a result, but still expected to appear in a live performance of the improv comedy show Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out. Williams bills himself as a comedian, actor, and rapper/singer.
Police said the victim, allegedly the driver of the town car from the Portland airport, suffered minor injuries to his face, including swelling and cuts requiring treatment at a local hospital, according to oregonlive.com.
Williams, who reportedly left in another vehicle, was arrested on Saturday morning on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. Oregonlive.com reported that Williams, whose real name is Micah Sierra, "was lodged in Multnomah County Jail, where he remained in custody Saturday afternoon. He was also being held on a warrant from Georgia."
Williams allegedly attacked the driver of the town car who was supposed to take him to the Moda Center in Portland, where the performance was scheduled. Williams and the driver got into a fight about transporting his dog, TMZ reported, citing the police report.
"Cops say the driver sustained minor injuries to the face -- including swelling and cuts -- and was treated at a local hospital," TMZ reported. "Katt left the scene of the alleged assault in another vehicle."
Willams was reportedly arrested by Portland police and booked for misdemeanor assault, with bail set at $2,500.
