The BET Hip Hop Awards 2022 took place on Tuesday, honoring the best songs, artists, and live performers the genre has to offer.
Taking place at the Cobb Theater in Atlanta, the 17th annual awards ceremony was hosted by Fat Joe, and a number of musicians put on showstopping performances such as GloRilla and Lil' Kim.

Drake led the nominees with a total of 14 nominations to his name, with the artist winning two for Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse award and Best Collaboration award alongside Future and Tems.
Kanye "Ye" West, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Baby Keem, Cardi B and J. Cole also dominated the list of nominees. Ye had 10 nominations, while Cardi B was nominated six times and Lamar received eight nods.
Lamar was one of the biggest winners of the night, as the musician earned six awards at the event, including Hip Hop Artist of the Year and Hip Hop Album of the Year for his release Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.
Other big names to win at the BET Hip Hop Awards show included 50 Cent, who took home the Hustler of the Year award, and Lizzo, who won the Impact Track award for "About Damn Time."
Latto won the award for Song of the Year for his track "Big Energy," while GloRilla won Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist award and Hitmaka was named the Producer of the Year.
