A Comprehensive Guide to 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' Cameos, From Prince William and Harry to Carrie Fisher's Dog

Did you see Star Wars: The Last Jedi over the weekend? If so, you may have noticed an array of surprise cameos in the Rian Johnson–directed sci-fi blockbuster, which opened to $220 million in the U.S. Friday through Sunday.

As well as the long-rumored cameos by Princes William and Harry as stormtroopers, other fleeting appearances include the late Carrie Fisher's beloved dog, Gary, and Hollywood star Tom Hardy. And after The Last Jedi hit theaters Friday, Twitter was convinced it also spotted late-night talk show host James Corden in the movie.

Here is Newsweek 's extensive, but non-exhaustive, list of The Last Jedi cameos. How many did you spot? Note: Spoilers ahead.

Prince William and Prince Harry, Tom Hardy and Gary Barlow

The British royals visited the set of The Last Jedi in London in April 2016, as documented by Kensington Palace at the time, and were rumored to have filmed a cameo. John Boyega, who plays leading man Finn, confirmed the news last month, telling The Hollywood Reporter they appear as stormtroopers alongside Tom Hardy and British singer Gary Barlow of the band Take That. The scene, said THR, would feature the four famous stormtroopers guarding Boyega's Finn.

But here's where things get confusing: Ahead of the film's premiere last week, Boyega said the princes' cameo had been cut. But the Radio Times website reports that the scene is intact and also includes Last Jedi co-stars Kelly Marie Tran (Rose) and Benicio del Toro (DJ). "I think they were very nice," del Toro told Radio Times. "Tom Hardy was in that little scene [too]."

Presumably Barlow made the scene as well.

Gary Fisher

Carrie Fisher's beloved dog Gary appears in the background of the Canto Bight casino where Finn and Rose try to find a master hacker to help them disable a tracking device allowing the First Order to know exactly where the Resistance are.

Gary was first seen in a production still published by Empire magazine earlier in December. Director Johnson confirmed it is indeed Gary.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Before The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson directed the brilliant sci-fi movie Looper and Brick, both starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, so it's not surprising that Johnson would give his perennial muse a cameo in his biggest project yet. Gordon-Levitt voices Canto Bight resident Slowen Lo, who informs the local police that Finn and Rose have abandoned their ship on the Canto Bight seafront.

Gareth Edwards

The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story director has a fleeting appearance as a Resistance soldier. Edwards gave Johnson a cameo in his 2016 Star Wars standalone movie too, as an Imperial technician.

Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish

Edwards isn't the only filmmaker friend of Johnson's to make a cameo in The Last Jedi. Johnson confirmed to the Radio Times that Baby Driver director Edgar Wright has a mini appearance, as does Joe Cornish, who directed John Boyega in his very first movie—2011's Attack the Block.

"Did you see Edgar Wright? He's very subtle but he's back there. Edgar's there along with his brother Oscar and assistant Leo," Johnson told the U.K. publication. "Joe Cornish? He's in the movie. A few directors. It's all director-geek cameos."

Michaela Coel

If you haven't seen Michaela Coel in her BAFTA-winning British comedy Chewing Gum, now is the time. Coel pops up as a Resistance monitor who informs her fellow Resistance fighters that the First Order have figured out their location.

Kate Dickie

Best known as Game of Thrones' Lysa Arryn, Kate Dickie is seen aboard the First Order ship as an officer. Casting director Nina Gold is responsible for casting both the new Star Wars saga and Game of Thrones.

Justin Theroux and Lily Cole

The Leftovers's Justin Theroux and model-and-actor Lily Cole are two more familiar faces seen on Canto Bight. Theroux is the master codebreaker that Finn and Rose are seeking on Canto Bight, but settle for the services of del Toro's DJ instead. Cole plays the codebreaker's companion at one of the casino tables.

Ellie Goulding

British singer Ellie Goulding has previously provided the soundtrack to Fifty Shades of Grey (with the song "Love Me Like You Do"), but this time she can be seen on screen—possibly. Goulding tweeted December 13 that she filmed a role as a Resistance member, but isn't sure if it made the final cut of the movie.

James Corden

After The Last Jedi hit theaters Friday, fans on Twitter began posting that they thought they saw The Late Late Show host in the movie as a Resistance pilot whose X-wing gets blown up. Corden hasn't confirmed the news—yet.
