Crazy Kardashian Obsessions To Kick Off 'True Life' Reboot, 'True Life/Now'

Not everyone wants to keep up with them, but the Kardashian family is a larger-than-life, driving force in American culture. There are entire college courses on the influence of the family, so it may not be surprising that there are a handful of individuals who aim to craft their lives around the lives of their favorite celebrities.

The number of Kardashian wannabes has increased in the years the famous reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, continues. But now, another reality show will take a look inside the lives not of the Kardashians, but of their biggest supporters.

True Life is returning to MTV as True Life/Now, and this time will feature modern-day obsessions, like those who try to look like Snapchat filters and even those who dabble in "avenging revenge porn," according to TMZ. But the season will start with a close look into the life of three people who wants to be a Kardashian so badly they've altered their bodies and lives to fit in with the famous sisters.

"If it were a cult, it'd be the biggest cult in the history of cults," the trailer features a woman saying.

One of the Kardashian look alikes speaks. "The Kardashians are my church, are my God."

True Live/Now, seems to have evolved past its ancestors into something more shocking than classic titles like "I Have A Hot Mom" or "I'm Dating A Cougar." Instead, the show will focus on something that has become a global phenomenon. Whether it be the Kardashians or Snapchat, the online influence, only accessible by social media, is a driving force in the lives of individuals who seemingly cannot live without living up to the expectations of an internet-driven sensation.

True Life was never officially canceled but aired its last episode in 2017. In 2009, the show won an Emmy. Some of the most notable episodes include 2008's "I'm Deaf," which followed a deaf teen as he learned to hear and 2016's "My Parents Are In Porn," which looked inside the family dynamic of a teen with porn star parents.

The show has touched on dynamic angles of society, from strange addictions, drug problems, porn obsession and mental illness. From adult babies to eating disorders, the show seemed to have covered every angle until the world it was filming in changed.

True Life/Now will premiere on MTV Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET. Viewers who are craving old episodes can find the past seasons streaming on MTV's website.
