Which Celebrities Are Signed-On or Rumored to Compete?

ABC has yet to announce its cast of celebrities for Season 27, but they will have large shoes to fill. Before September's run, fans who tuned for Season 26 of the reality series witnessed Dancing with the Stars broadcast its first-ever all-athletes edition. Noteworthy sports stars such as former figure skater Tonya Harding, Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman, Olympic figure skater Mirai Nagasu and NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar danced their hearts out in Season 26. It was Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon, however, who ultimately earned the Mirror Ball Trophy. Rippon, who was the show's first openly gay winner, was partnered with Johnson.

"I think at the beginning of the competition you obviously want to be the winner, but when you get to the very end it means so much more than that," Rippon, 28, said in an interview via Team USA's website in May. "You live that experience with your pro and to live that experience with Jenna, who I got to know so well, it made it even more special."

Before ABC's all-athletes season aired, the Season 25 winner was Jordan Fisher. Prior to Dancing with the Stars, Fisher was best known for his association with Disney Channel projects like Teen Beach Movie and Liv and Maddie alongside Grease Live! He's slated to co-host Dancing with the Stars: Juniors with his Season 25 competitor Frankie Muniz.

"I'm excited about being a part of the Dancing With the Stars family," Fisher, 24, told J-14 on August 6. "I think this is an element of the family we were missing. I am excited to see how well it does and [I] hope to watch it for years and years to come."

Dancing with the Stars Season 27 premieres Monday, September 26 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
