'Daredevil' Season 3: No Release Date, Just More Bibles Verses And a Poster

Update 9/20: New trailer and release date.

Matt Murdock loves taunting fans with bible verses, apparently. The cryptic messages, celebrating his problematic relationship with his Catholic faith, haven't stopped since the first Daredevil Season 3 teaser arrived post-Iron Fist finale. And there's still no Netflix release date, but there is an official poster.

The blood red poster reads, "Let there be darkness." Matt Murdock's Daredevil helmet hangs on a cross, with a church steeple bleeding through the the red wash. The text of the tweet cites Job 30:26: "When I hoped for good, evil came; when I looked for light, then came darkness."

The statement holds true for Matt Murdock. He's tried to be a good person, even hanging up his suit for a while. But darkness came. The Hand tortured Elektra and overtook New York City, forcing him to sin to save and nearly losing his life in the process. Everyone thinks he's dead, and in his own mind, he is— only Daredevil lives. This sort of self-victimization is never good, so we're likely in for a terrifying ride when Daredevil season 3 releases late 2018.

In the past hour since the poster debuted, the Daredevil Twitter account hasn't stopped tweeting out bible verses. Take a look below and let us know if you spot any clues in the comments.

Proverbs 15:18: A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger quiets contention.

James 5:8: You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.

John 14:27: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Exodus 14:14: The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

1 Corinthians 16:13: Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

Matthew 8:26: He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Matthew 24:36: But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Lamentations 3:25-26: The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
