DC Universe Adds More Comics, Movies and Shows, Including 'Krypton'

More movies, TV shows and comic books are coming to DC Universe. Amid New York Comic Con 2018, DC Entertainment announced the first season of SyFy's Krypton will premiere on DC Universe in 2019. The 1984 classic film Supergirl, starring Helen Slater, will arrive on Oct. 5. The film, which follows Superman's cousin as she comes to Earth, will be available until the end of 2018.

In 2019, three DC animated movies will arrive on the service: Reign of The Supermen, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, and Batman: Hush. DC Universe also has a prequel comic planned for Young Justice: Outsiders set for sometime in 2019.

More comics will also arrive on the service in October. New Teen Titans (#13 - #20) will be available from Oct. 2-15, followed by New Teen Titans (#21 - #41) from Oct. 16-29, then Batman: The Long Halloween from Oct. 23- Nov. 5. Batman: Dark Victory rounds out the month, and will be available from Oct. 30–Nov. 12.

It's unclear what Krypton coming to DC Universe means for the future of the series on SyFy. A second season is set to premiere on the cable network in 2019. Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel's home planet, Krypton follows Superman's grandfather — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family's honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
