Denise Richards will make her big comeback on reality TV later this year when she joins the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast for Season 9. Richards confirmed her addition to the Bravo series in an interview with People magazine released Wednesday.
Richards appeared in her own E! reality series, Denise Richards: It's Complicated, which debuted in 2008. The show came to an end in 2009 after two seasons.
While speaking with People, Richards, a self-admitted "huge fan" of the Real Housewives franchise, said she was "so excited to join the cast of [RHOBH]."
"I am looking forward to spending time with all the ladies," she said, noting she was particularly excited to meet Boy George, who sometimes appears on the show.
Richards, the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen, will join veteran cast members Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave and Dorit Kemsley, whose husband Paul Kemsley manages Boy George.
Although George isn't an actual member of the show, the odds of Denise Richards having an encounter with the singer are incredibly high considering George is regularly spotted at Dorit Kemsley's house where he stays whenever he's in Los Angeles.
Denise Richards was long rumored to be joining the RHOBH cast. She told Us Weekly she would like to be on the show back in 2011.
The Wild Things actress made a cameo appearance during a Season 5 episode in 2015 alongside close friends Rinna and Kyle Richards, which only fueled more rumors she was joining the show. Denise Richards shot down the speculations during an interview with Extra that same year and said she didn't "know where that [rumor] came from."
"I don't think I could show my life on there," she said at the time. "That would be a whole other show!"
Richards apparently had a change of heart and will receive her first official RHOBH diamond and tagline when the show premieres later this year.
Her cast mates have yet to make mention of her addition to the show, but fans are already expecting her to bring the drama. Some of them were particularly vocal on social media with their hopes that she might clash with Vanderpump.
