'Destiny 2' Ace of Spades Guide - How to Get the Exotic From Cayde's Will

Destiny 2 fans said goodbye to Cayde-6 with the launch of Forsaken, but dedicated Guardians can still wield his iconic Hand Cannon, the Ace of Spades. Below you'll find a quick recap of the steps required to add this Exotic to your inventory.

The Ace of Spades Quest - Cayde's Will

After completing the first mission in the Forsaken campaign, Banshee-44 will ask to speak to you. Approach the trusty gunsmith to unlock the Cayde's Will quest. Here are the steps required to get the job done.

  1. Reclaim the Ace of Spades from Uldren Sov.
  2. Take the broken Ace of Spades to Banshee-44.
  3. Get five invasion kills with a Hand Cannon in Gambit.
  4. Eliminate 250 enemies in Strikes with a Hand Cannon.
  5. In Crucible, defeat 25 opponents with precision final blows from any Hand Cannon.
  6. Search the solar system for Cayde's four personal stashes.
  7. Cayde's personal stash is on Titan. Fight your way back to the Arcology and complete the Ace in the Hole mission.
  8. Bring the recovered Ace of Spades parts to Banshee-44.

How to get the Ace of Spades in 'Destiny 2'

After activating the Cayde's Will quest, play through the Forsaken campaign till you reach a mission called Nothing Left to Say. Once that's finished, you'll get the gun and Banshee will ask you to come back to the Tower for subsequent steps.

The steps for Gambit and Crucible are largely skill-based, but here are some tips:

  • Crimson is a really strong Hand Cannon in the current Gambit meta.
  • For the invasion step, the five kills require you to kill five players who invade your side. Being the invader and killing others does not count.
  • The Old Fashioned and Better Devils are great for PvP, as well as the Crimson

'Destiny 2' Cayde Stash Locations

For step six of the Cayde's Will quest, you need to find four of Cayde's personal stashes. Here's where they are:

The EDZ: Go to Firebase Hades and teleport to the second entrance from the Sunken Isles. This can also be done by getting to Firebase and running to the spot of the Arms Dealer strike. Head right from the spot where you'd normally dunk the solar charge. On the left you should see the chest.

Nessus: From the Exodus Black landing zone, go to the right into the caves. Go past the Vex teleporter till you get to a circular room. The chest is on the outer rim of the circle.

IO: From Wraith Mines, go to the room with the large drill. You'll see the chest glowing from a notch in the wall.

Tangled Shore: Go to the Jetsam of Saturn. To the south is a path that heads south toward a cave of Hive. Keep going through the cave till it opens up and you come to a room with rocks sticking up from the floor. You'll see it glowing in a notch on the wall to the left.

After that, just follow the Ace in the Hole quest on Titan. It's a long quest but fairly self-explanatory. Once you finish it, take the parts back to Banshee and enjoy your new Exotic.

Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
