'Destiny 2' Warmind DLC Reveal Stream: Time, Date, How to Watch Online

Destiny 2 fans have been waiting for months to learn more about the Warmind DLC, and that anticipation will soon come to an end. During a livestream today, the game's developers at Bungie will discuss their content plans for Season 3 alongside the debut of a new trailer ahead of the May 8 launch. Here are the times, dates and links to be aware of.

WHAT TIME DOES THE 'DESTINY 2' WARMIND REVEAL START?

The stream is set to begin April 24 at 1 p.m. EDT. The length of the presentation is not yet known, but we can't imagine it being much longer than an hour. While we have no official information to confirm this, we estimate the Warmind stream will be somewhere between 30 and 60 minutes in length.

WHERE CAN I WATCH THE 'DESTINY 2' WARMIND REVEAL ONLINE?

The primary place to watch the Warmind reveal stream is via Bungie's Twitch page embedded below. That being said, we also anticipate alternate streams on the official Destiny YouTube channel as well. A direct link to the YouTube stream is not yet live, but we'll do our best to post it as soon as it becomes available.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE DURING THE STREAM?

Bungie has been understandably coy about the Warmind reveal stream, saying it will offer fans a first look at the new places, loot and activities in the expansion and rest of Season 3. That being said, the developer's latest 2018 Roadmap offers potential clues about the topics that might be discussed.

Heroic Strike Modifiers, also called Mods 2.0, have been highly anticipated by fans and are a major addition planned for the start of Season 3. The hope amongst players is that Heroic Strikes start offering enough loot variation to make repeated engagement more interesting than it is today. The implementation of Mods 2.0 also has the potential to act as a preview for what players might see from Weapon Randomization when it arrives this September. The big question heading into Season 3 is just how far Bungie is willing to go to keep hardcore Destiny players active. The setup for Mods 2.0 is essentially the first major test of that conviction.

Another huge outlet for change is Warmind's increased max Power level, which will now be 385 with Mods attached. This time, longform activities like Raids and Trials will grant the largest Power increases followed by traditional weekly sources and Clan Engrams. With this new tier system, Bungie is attempting to push a variety-centric approach that places slightly greater emphasis on invested time.

On the weapons side, Bungie's been teasing major tweaks to Exotic weapons and their associated Masterworks as well. Based on what's been shown, the implication is that Masterworks may become a more standardized perk as opposed to a traditional stat roll. With enthusiasm for Destiny 2 still on a steady decline, the main goal of the Warmind stream and Season 3 is to rekindle that lost passion as fast as possible.

Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. See more from Warmind April 24 at 1.pm. EDT.
